Palo santo (Bursera graveolens), Spanish for "holy wood," is a tree native to South America. The wood is gathered from fallen branches of trees that have died naturally. For centuries it has been burned in ceremony to clear negative energy and to bring a room to stillness.
Our palo santo essential oil is steam distilled from aged wood and blended into fractionated coconut oil, which stays liquid, absorbs clean, and won't turn tacky halfway through a treatment. It has enough slip to work through a full massage and still leaves skin soft rather than filmed. As it warms, the scent builds: sweet, resinous, woody, a little citrus. By the end the whole room smells like the inside of a temple.
Slow enough for a proper massage. Light enough to smooth on after a shower.
